Indiana Center for Recovery gives back $10,000 to the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Foundation. Investing in our community is a large part of our mission. As a leading provider of addiction treatment and mental health services, our pursuit is to help individuals live a successful life in recovery, while helping our community in the best way possible.
Community and togetherness are two driving factors that led us to donate $10,000 to the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Foundation. This foundation provides a vast array of programs, special events, and services. Phil Blasko, the superintendent of Mishawaka Parks and Recreation states, “Let’s break down walls, build relationships, and engage with a new audience in 2021. The vision is to place the new portable skate park in the ice rink at the Merrifield Complex during the summer months, but also take the show on the road to neighborhood parks!” The awesome part of this whole plan is that the skate park won’t be stationary. It will be moved around the city so that children all over Mishawaka can use it no matter where they live.
All of the staff here at Indiana Center for Recovery are ecstatic about helping the growing community of Mishawaka. The donation will go directly toward Mishawaka’s portable skate park. We look forward to more opportunities to help grow our communities and help to change lives.
