Bloomington has always been Karen’s favorite place as she often visited her Grandparents here throughout her childhood. She and her family have since migrated to the area. Karen is married and has a very large close knit family. Karen began her nursing career at Bloomington Hospital in 1993. She studied her undergraduate degree at Indiana Wesleyan University, and earned her Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner from Ball State University in 2010. She has worked in a variety of settings in her career from pediatrics to trauma centers, ICU, and elder care. No matter the patient population, Karen uses a holistic approach to nursing, caring for them where they are physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Serving as an instrument, Karen states her patients are able to identify themselves as the healer and access their own innate capacities.
